PGDCHC course is affiliated by which University?

PGDCHC course is approved by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GOI and affiliated by International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai, MoHFW, GOI, a deemed University.

Whether NIPHTR, Mumbai provide residential facility for the PGDCHC students?

Yes, PGDCHC course is full time residential course and hostel accommodation is provided by NIPHTR on subsidised rate.

Whether NIPHTR gives any stipend for PGDCHC students?

No.

What is the duration of PGDCHC course?

The total duration of course is 12 months (09 months at NIPHTR and 03 months Internship).

Where the students are placed for the Internship?

Students are placed at District Hospital, First Referral Unit Hospital, Primary Health Centre and sub-centre on rotation basis in their respective states.

In which districts students are placed for internship?

Students are placed in their own districts for internship.

What is the examination pattern?

There are two semesters. Written theory examination with viva-voce at the end of each semester.

What is the medium of the PGDCHC course?

The medium for PGDCHC course is English.

Is there any course fee to be given to NIPHTR?

No course fee.

Can students take leave during festivals?

not all the festivals.

What is the lecture time?

lectures time will be from 10.00am to 5.15pm.

Can I bring my relative / family member to stay with me?

No family member is allowed to stay with students.

Do I have to purchase books or study material for the course?

No, books will be provided by the FWTRC library at the beginning of the course and students have to return it back at the end of the course.
